Voice is part of the guidebook assistant, which is in private preview. Click Talk in the sheet’s composer to start a voice conversation; the browser asks for microphone access the first time. Speak your question and the assistant answers aloud. The full written answer, with its step rows, links, and citations, appears in the sheet exactly as it would for a typed question, so you can read the detail after hearing the summary. You can interrupt the assistant mid-sentence, and it will not go quiet while it looks something up: a lookup that runs longer than a few seconds is narrated (“Still checking the SD-1080 r9 document for wire 14”). While a voice conversation is live:
  • Captions under the conversation show what you and the assistant last said, with a status line that reads Listening, Hearing you, Looking it up (with the read it is on), or Speaking.
  • A microphone meter beside End shows the input level, so it is plain the mic is on.
  • In the transcript, spoken questions carry a microphone mark, and the short summary the assistant said aloud sits above each written answer with a speaker mark.
Click End to stop talking. Closing the sheet also ends the voice conversation. The Talk button appears only where voice is available for your organization; typed questions work everywhere the assistant does.
